- David Cook performed the National Anthem earlier today at the KC Chiefs home opener…watch a videos from the stands courtesy of angelangiekc and kccatdr or a video of the television broadcast (including the nationally-broadcast playing of “Taps” prior to the start of local coverage) courtesy of trblnolathe below. - There is another new rumored concert date, this time at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix on 10/23.
- The David Cook-cowritten track “Stars,” from Arrows to Athens’ upcoming album, Kings and Thieves, was debuted on AC on KC Radio today. I can’t technically link to any recordings of the song here, but there’s one floating around if you want to take a listen (and buy the track when it’s released!
) All of the above also applies to the MWK track “The Captain, His Ship,” which was also debuted today.

- There’s a soundbite from David in this KCTV5 clip detailing the pregame ceremonies in honor of the tenth anniversary of 9/11 that will take place at the KC Chiefs game this Sunday.

- Some interviews with David will air in the KC area tomorrow morning…on KCTV5 in the 6 p.m. CT hour, and on Kelly Urich’s morning show on 99.7 The Point (you can listen to 99.7 The Point live here.) Don’t forget that David will be singing the National Anthem at the KC Chiefs game on Sunday, the tenth anniversary of 9/11.
- The ticket sale date for the (technically unconfirmed) show in Santa Rosa, California at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts’ Person Theater has been pushed back to 9/16/11. Additionally, Carolina Liar is listed as the opening act for the show (again, unconfirmed.)
- David’s Race for Hope – DC team has reached $130,000 in donations…great effort, team!
- Check out a preview clip of a new MWK song, “The Captain, His Ship” at MWKMusic.com…additionally, Andrew will be debuting a new MWK song on AC on KC Radio, airing this Saturday from 12-2 p.m. CT.

Sorry for the lack of updates the last two days y’all, I was packing up to go back to college. All settled in, so I’ll try to keep the updates as regular as possible.
- Both David Cook and Gavin DeGraw have confirmed that they will embark on a co-headlining tour together this fall. Go here to listen to a radio interview where Gavin talks briefly about the upcoming tour.

- “The Last Goodbye” has risen from #24 to #22 with a bullet (indicating airplay growth) on the Adult Contemporary Mediabase chart this week.
